This 1871 church has seen many additions and restorations over its storied lifetime, and in 1974 was added to the National Registry of Historic Places. The bulk of the renovation includes the excavation and finishing of the space below the sanctuary, making room for additional classrooms, youth rooms, and homeless overflow. The structure will be supported as excavation occurs below. Stone from the original foundation will be removed, cleaned, and cut into a veneer to be reapplied to the exterior of the foundation. Other work includes removing, restoring and reinstalling the 1912 pipe organ.
